A donation receipt will be issued to American donors by Friends of SFU. U.S. donors can give through Friends of SFU by:
- Cheque
- Bank draft
- Wire transfer
- Publicly traded securities & stocks
Additional giving option
Under the Canadian–United States Income Tax Convention, Simon Fraser University alumni and their families (spouses, children, grandchildren, parents and siblings) may also make donations directly to the university.
How to give through a cheque or a bank draft
- Make your donation payable to the Friends of Simon Fraser University.
- Include a memo note or letter with your gift advising that a contribution is made to the Friends of Simon Fraser University specifying the designation or purpose of the gift.
