At just seventeen years old, Gunraj was awarded ‘Top 25 Under 25’ by the Surrey Board of Trade. In addition to receiving this award, Gunraj was appointed the Campaign Manager for Member of Parliament John Aldag in 2014. At the age of eighteen, Gunraj went on to become Chief of Staff for Member of Parliament John Aldag, managing offices in both Ottawa and Cloverdale-Langley City.
Gunraj’s lifelong dream was to open his own consulting firm focusing on campaign management and community advocacy services. This dream became a reality when Aurora Advisory Group opened its doors in 2017 with a drive to better support community initiatives and become a key political member municipally, provincially and federally. A few of the projects led by Gunraj include; Surrey Firsts’ Mayoral Campaign, Richmond Farmland Owner’s Association, BC Farmland Association, BC Liberal’s Provincial Campaign and Kannaba Argritech Corporation. Gunraj used Aurora Advisory Group as a platform to become a key member within the community and also to give other community members a platform from which to create a positive change.
In his spare time you would find Gunraj playing golf, travelling or spending time with his family. His love for European cultures coupled with his passion for fine dining would have you in a conversation with him for hours. Gunraj did not allow his young age to become a barrier to his success and his ability to make a change within his community. He believed that the participation of future generations within politics was of paramount importance in molding Canada’s future.
Gunraj at his core was a true family man, a strong-minded individual who believed in change for the better. Morales such as these made him a pillar of the community and a trusted adviser to all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Gunraj was gifted with intelligence, generosity and sense of responsibility to his community.
Your gift to the Gunraj Gill Memorial Fund will keep his legacy alive by supporting future generations of young political enthusiasts who also want to make a positive impact in the community.
