"An inspired community leader and advocate, Barbara Rae was a trailblazer and role model for women in business, academics and athletics. Donation Impact

This past season, the Barbara Rae and George Suart Athletic Award in Women’s Basketball Endowment supported five students-student athletes. Your donation will honour Barbara's legacy as a champion of female empowerment by supporting students on the SFU women's basketball team.

"Barbara attended many games over the years along with her husband George, and they took a personal interest in our student-athletes, acting as mentors and role models, sharing their values and experiences, and inspiring our student-athletes to be the best versions of themselves they could possibly be," said SFU women's basketball coach Bruce Langford. "Their handprints are all over our program and their impact will last forever."
