That's the question business leader and entrepreneur Charles Chang, BBA '95, asked himself as he prepared to sell his plant-based protein powder business, Vega.

"I wanted to not only make my parents proud, but show my kids how it's done, and help the community," says Charles.

A flagship initiative of the new Institute will be the Charles Chang Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, accessible to all students across the university.

In honour of his gift, SFU is naming its newest property at 308 Hastings Street the Charles Chang Innovation Centre.
