SFU students are the changemakers at the heart of this university. Beyond this, every student deserves to feel that their voice is heard and represented amongst the student body and university governing bodies. When it comes to reconciliation, SFU is taking responsibility to understand the truth and stories of the unceded traditional territories that the SFU campuses reside on. The university continues to transform and become a leader in indigenizing its curriculum. One of Dr. Joy Johnson’s priorities is to continue the series of projects that will promote reconciliation within the SFU community. The goals include maximizing indigenous student support and indigenizing hiring practices.
