The Ingrid Nystrom Award will be given each year to an undergraduate student majoring in Archaeology to further their studies in Archaeology or Physical Anthropology. It pays tribute to Ingrid’s memory by supporting our students in a way that she truly appreciated.

During my years at SFU, Ingrid was a bright spot in my daily life. For all the students in the archaeology program, she was consistent source of smiles, laughter, and encouragement. She made a huge difference to my experiences at SFU, and to have been a recipient of the Ingrid Nystrom Archaeology Endowment was an honour and a privilege. Ingrid - I thank you for all that you did for us. You are missed.
