Community Scholars Program

sticky

Many researchers in Canada and around the world are studying social problems, possible solutions and then publishing their findings in peer-reviewed journals. These journals are mostly inaccessible to the more than 170,000 non-profit and charitable organizations in Canada doing critical work on social issues including poverty alleviation, homelessness, education and health care - unless they are affiliated with a university.

To tackle this issue head-on, the Community Scholars Program, an initiative in partnership between Simon Fraser University Library, Mindset Social Innovation Foundation, the United Way of the Lower Mainland and six academic publishers, will give 500 B.C. charities and non-profit organizations access to thousands of published academic journals for free. Your donation will support the delivery of this valuable community program.
