SFU Innovates Venture Fund
By donating to the SFU Innovates Venture Fund, you can help promising ideas emerging from SFU research and talent move into the world, where they can improve lives, address real challenges and strengthen British Columbia’s social and economic wellbeing.
BE BOLD by moving innovation from discovery to impact
Bold ideas need more than inspiration. They need the right conditions to grow: research excellence, entrepreneurial talent, early-stage support, industry expertise and access to capital.
SFU is galvanizing our community to provide philanthropic support to innovative BC companies including a new partnership with InBC Investment Corp. to launch a $15-million investment fund supporting the growth of innovative B.C. companies built on SFU-developed technology. We also want to ensure that donors like you have an opportunity to support SFU talent and direct their charitable contributions to.

SFU is home to researchers, students, alumni and entrepreneurs developing ideas with the potential to address some of the most pressing challenges of our time.
From clean energy and personalized medicine to quantum computing, life sciences, deep technology and cleantech, SFU’s innovation ecosystem helps turn discovery into practical solutions. The SFU Innovates Venture Fund will build on this strength by providing philanthropic support for early-stage companies founded by SFU researchers, students and alumni, with a focus on high-growth sectors identified by the Province.
