In 2018, a coalition of civil society organizations held the largest-ever gathering of harm reduction and drug policy minds in Canadian history—laying the groundwork for increased harm reduction services and positive changes to Canada’s drug policy.

With tragic drug toxicity-related deaths rapidly rising and the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, the time to convene has never been more critical.

On October 5 - 7, 2023, national leaders in Harm Reduction and Drug Policy will convene in Ottawa for Stimulus 2023: Drugs, Policy, and Practice in Canada. The conference will be the epicentre of progressive drug policy in Canada.

This year’s Stimulus Conference will call for bold and urgent action from policymakers to end this drug policy crisis and identify actions needed to achieve positive, lasting change.
