SFU Football will be hosting our inaugural Lift-a-Thon on November 16-20th. The purpose of this fundraising effort is to emphasize the importance of our off-season program and to provide additional support for our athletes to help improve their experience here at SFU.
At the event, players will perform three core exercises (Squat, Power Clean, and Bench Press) and we will take the combined score of the three lifts to get a final weight. You can support by making a flat-rate gift (ie. $50, $100, $500, etc.), or pledging your support per pound lifted (ie. $0.05, $0.10, $0.25, etc.).
If you decide to pledge based on pounds lifted, the amount of your pledge will be the result of the athlete's estimated combined lifting scores (for example, if you pledge $0.10 per pound, and the player lifts 400 squat, 285 clean, 315 bench = 1000 lbs x $0.10 = $100 donation).
Your donation will go directly towards the football program and will help create the best experience possible for all the players in our program.
