Peter was one of my favourite people. He was my first PhD student and we became close colleagues after he took a position At SFU. We often shared post doctoral fellows many of whom became well known mathematicians. He certainly left his mark on Mathematics and on Simon Fraser University. I am very happy that his colleagues have chosen to create this Scholarship in his honour.
