If you’re visiting our Burnaby or Surrey campuses this summer, you may notice some pint-sized scientists running around. These future researchers are part of a science camp that encourages exploration beyond the textbook through hands-on, interactive discovery.
What makes this camp unique? It’s put on by Science AL!VE, a not-for-profit organization run by SFU students. And these students are pretty amazing. They believe in making science accessible to all youth regardless of gender, culture or financial background, so programs are highly subsidized or offered at no cost.
But this passionate group of science-loving students needs a little help from you. Science AL!VE hosts workshops, clubs and community events throughout the school year and they depend on support from donors.
You can create opportunities that would otherwise not be available. Help our Science AL!VE team spark enthusiasm and smash stereotypes: science is actually super cool and fun! All gifts are much appreciated.
