Dr. Lesley Shannon was recently awarded this Chair by NSERC (Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada). The purpose of the Chair is to develop and implement initiatives and outreach programs that encourage more girls and women to participate in STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) educational programs and follow STEM related career paths.
